Results of Tests and Investigations

Please contact the surgery to obtain the results of any tests or investigations. The GP or Nurse will inform you at the consultation when the results are expected back at the surgery.

Please telephone for all results between 1pm and 4pm.

In some circumstances, the doctor may want to talk to you about your results. In this case a receptionist may telephone you to book a telephone consultation to discuss the outcome and further actions with the doctor.

In order to maintain confidentiality, results will be given only to patients themselves, or to parents in the case of a child under 16.

If you are unable to ring for results personally, then you can give written permission for another person to obtain results on your behalf. This is known as 3rd Party Consent.

Please be aware that our receptionists are not clinically trained and are therefore unable to offer any advice about your test result. If you have any concerns, please book a telephone consultation with a doctor or nurse.
